The Society’s mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. The society accomplishes this by dedicating itself to 1) funding blood cancer research, 2) education and 3) patient services.

Healing Waters International works to “reduce water-related illness and death in developing countries by building self-sustaining projects that make safe drinking water accessible to the poor and by empowering local churches to bring physical, social and spiritual healing to their communities.”

Each year, MSF doctors, nurses, logisticians, water-and-sanitation experts, administrators, and other medical and non-medical professionals depart on more than 4,700 aid assignments to assist in emergencies and their aftermath. MSF provides essential health care, rehabilitates and runs hospitals and clinics, performs surgery, battles epidemics, carries out vaccination campaigns, operates feeding centers for malnourished children, and offers mental health care. Visit MSF’s website for a complete listing of all the activities or programs it provides aid through.

“Feed them a fish and they’ll eat for a day; teach them how to fish and they’ll eat for a lifetime.” Responsibility lives out this axiom by working to improve the lifestyle of children that scavenge for food in the dumps in Tijuana, México. This is accomplished by providing education at the preschool and kindergarten levels, helping children with their educational expenses, running a summer camp, and providing proper meals for sponsored children.
